Takeda Shingen Armour

$4,500.00 No tax $8,888.00
-$4,388.00
Description

Daimyo Takeda Shingen was known for his martial prowess and prestige on the battlefield in the late Sengoku Period of Feudal Japan. This authentic handcrafted reproduction of Takeda Shingen's armor is the result of over 100 man hours of the finest materials and skilled craftsmen.

Takeda Shingen was one of two of the most vicious Samurai warlords to do battle in Japan, the other being Uesugi Kenshin. Over the years, they would engage in combat a total of five times. Their fourth battle, which was at Kawanakajima, would be their major battle. Because of Takeda Shingen's fierceness as a fighter, he was given the nickname "The Tiger," while Uesugi Kenshin was referred to as "The Dragon" in his warring days as a Samurai. Thus, the legendary battles of "The Tiger and the Dragon" were originated from the bitter feud of these two powerful warlords.

Details: The armor is wearable and comes standard sized and is fully functional. Includes a free customary black lacquered box (Yoroi Bitsu) which, along with an included wooden frame, provides the support for the display and instructions.
