In Japan, snakes are often associated with the legendary eight-headed and eight-tailed serpent, Orochi. Interestingly, snakes also symbolise transformation and healing due to its regular sloughing (shedding of skin).

Matching the snake fittings with deep green tsuka-ito and blackened carbon steel blade, the Shinka Katana sets to send out a strong message of rebirth and growth.
