It was said that after a war, Prophet Muhammad delivered the spoils to the soldiers and he gave this sword to Imam Ali. Zulfiqar sword became one of the symbols of heroism in Islamic history because it was said that Zulfiqar sword was used by Ali’s sons and grandchildren.
