The Huaxia Tang Dao pays homage to the legacy of the Tang Dynasty — a period celebrated for its cultural splendour and advancements in craftsmanship. Historically, the term “Tang Dao” referred to a range of swords used during the Tang era, including the Yi Dao (仪刀), Zhang Dao (障刀), Heng Dao (横刀), and Mo Dao (陌刀). Among them, the straight-bladed Tang Heng Dao (唐横刀) became the most representative of the dynasty’s martial spirit and refined aesthetic.
Our rendition of the Huaxia Tang Dao takes inspiration from the Han-style Huan Shou Dao (环首刀,ring-pommel sword), retaining its distinctive circular pommel and elegant straight form. This design captures the transitional beauty between Han and Tang weaponry, reflecting both heritage and evolution in Chinese sword-making tradition.
Simple yet dignified, the Huaxia Tang Dao stands as a symbol of classical elegance — a blade that embodies the artistry and cultural pride of ancient China.
